The Colonial Shiba Club is committed to educating those who honor and respect the Japanese breeds their history and to
preserving the Nippo standard.

We are honored that each year, Nippo graciously sends a senior Japanese judge to the U.S. for the show and to conduct a
educational seminar on each of the breeds competiting.

Each year we learn something new.

                                 Our Mission
    The Colonial Shiba Club, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation of the true Japanese
    Shiba Inu.  We promote and adhere to the Nippo standard of excellence, which
    accepts only Red, Red Sesame and Black & Tan colors in the Shiba.

    The Classic is held once a year. In 2010 we opened the event to the other native
    Japanese breeds as we honor our dogs' common heritage and welcome the
    opportunity to learn about other breeds
