| The Shiba Classic is held once a year. In 2010 we open the event to the native Japanese breeds as we honor our dogs' common heritage and welcome the opportunity to learn about other breeds. The Colonial Shiba Club is committed to educating the Shiba fancy about the breed, its history and to preserving the Nippo standard. Each year, Nippo graciously sends a senior Japanese judge to the US for the show. The event is conducted with Nippo ring procedures and judged to a strict standard. Each year we learn something new about the Shiba Inu with every years judges seminar.
